This month I will guide you through the Sun Sign of Gemini through the Houses. The Houses in Astrology show us where a planet is activated and influencing your life. For the purposes of this blog, I focus on the Sun, which in Astrology represents our vitality, our life force and the energy that we naturally live into during this incarnation. Knowing the House of your Sun sign will further inform your Sun Sign qualities. To determine your House placement, you will need to know your time of birth. There are two common systems for House placements; placidus and whole sign. I use placidus for my chart readings, however I know other astrologers who find whole sign readings to be accurate.

I wrote this blog with Gemini Sun placements in mind, and in the following months I will cover the remaining zodiacal signs through the Houses. Be sure to subscribe! Below you will find descriptions for Gemini in all the Houses. Let me know if the house description for your Gemini placement in your natal chart feels accurate (even if you don’t have the Sun or a planet in the sign of Gemini!). The Gemini House within your chart shows where you need connection, communication, and curiosity!

Gemini in the 1st House:

You are an Aries disguised as a Gemini. While you embody the beauty of the quick and nimble Gemini mind, there will be a fire burning within you that makes people stop and notice you! You may tend to act before thinking and enjoy blurting out your many ideas to others, whether they want to hear them or not. Speaking your mind will come more easily with the Sun in the 1st house. You will thrive on physical activity especially if you can be in charge, leading the way. You would make an excellent athlete, activist, or leader. Knowing when to slow down and take your time will be a challenge. Bringing your ideas to life with courageous action and fun is your superpower. 

Gemini in the 2nd House: 

You are a Taurus disguised as a Gemini. You may have a much more calm and steady quality than other Geminis you know. Taking your time and going at your own pace will feel more natural, though your mind may still be racing. There is a sensual quality to your brilliant mind and you may often be thinking about cozy things including food, drinks, sex, soft clothing. You would make an excellent chef, builder, or engineer. Knowing when to let go of your habits or routines may be a challenge. Your superpowers are knowing how to communicate your ideas around your values and self confidence in a simple and straightforward way, and also sexy, sensual talk (sexting!).

Gemini in the 3rd House:

You are a full-fledged Gemini! This is Gemini’s natural home, and you embody the full power of the Gemini mind. Communication, connecting with others, sharing ideas and thoughts are all part of your identity and personality. There is never a dull moment with you and you may talk constantly and love to chat with friends and strangers alike. You would make an excellent writer, marketer, or networker. Knowing how to ground and stay present in your body and feel your emotions may be a challenge. A Non-stop “idea machine” and keeping others entertained and excited by life are your superpowers. 

Gemini in the 4th House: 

You are a Cancer disguised as a Gemini. There is a softness to your quick mind that also blends an emotional sensitivity to how you connect with others. You may be able to touch others on an emotional level with your words and can channel just the right thing at the right moment that others need to hear. You may love to do your communicating and connecting from your own home (rather than out on the town). You may end up as the host for small friend gatherings; you feel most comfortable in your own space. You would make an excellent healer or therapist. Knowing when to ground your emotions and mind may be a challenge. Your words that help nurture others is your superpower.

Gemini in the 5th House:

You are a Leo discussed as a Gemini. You are here to entertain us and be seen! You may be a leader within your group or organization and known for your bravado and flair. Blending your quick mind with a stand-out voice, people notice you and listen when you speak. Your creative ideas flow through you and can manifest beautifully in physical form (paintings, ceramics, writing, crafting, etc). You would make a wonderful actor or artist. Knowing when to stop sparkling and listen to others may be your challenge. Sharing your ideas brightly and loudly within the world is your superpower.  

Gemini in the 6th House:

You are a Virgo disguised as a Gemini. Both ruled by Mercury, Gemini and Virgo make for a brilliant and organized mind. You can move slowly and thoroughly through any thought experiment and come through with tangible steps to achieve results. There is an earthy beauty to your mind and you may focus on your physical health more than any other thought. You would make an excellent health coach. You are excellent at paying attention to details and using your mind to the fullest (your mind may be hard to shut down!). Knowing when to quiet the mind and just be may be a challenge. Sharing your ideas on how to help others live their best, healthy, organized lives is your superpower.

Gemini in the 7th House: 

You are a Libra disguised as a Gemini. Your words are more charming than other Geminis and you are a master at communicating within relationships. Far more diplomatic and graceful, you are able to navigate tricky thoughts with balance and harmony because you are able to put yourself in the other person’s shoes. A healthy verbal communication style is essential for your relationships, where ideas and thoughts can be expressed and shared. You can likely use your words to get just about anything you want. You would make an excellent sales person. Knowing when to state your own needs in a relationship may be a challenge. Charming communication with others is your superpower. 

Gemini in the 8th House:

You are a Scorpio disguised as a Gemini. There is an intensity and a depth to your mind that few can understand. You likely have a strong interest in death, sex, money, power, control and spend many hours thinking about these topics. There may be an obsessive quality to your thinking and communication style. It can be hard to let go of thoughts that have captured your attention and may need many hours of rumination to be fully processed. You feel things more deeply than most Geminis. You would make a great detective or therapist, blending your intuition with your intellect. Knowing how to relax your “detective mind” will be the challenge. Finding the truth and diving into the unknown parts of the human psyche are your superpowers. 

Gemini in the 9th House: 

You are a Sagittarius disguised as a Gemini. You are an adventurer of the mind! Exploring all corners of the psyche, you may be drawn to try mind-altering drugs that allow you to experience the world from a different mindset. You may also spend a lot of time thinking about travel, friends, spirituality, and your next adventure. You may speak your thoughts bluntly and ruffle some feathers of the more sensitive souls around you. Knowing how to speak from your inner wisdom rather than random thoughts may be a challenge. Communicating the lessons you’ve learned from your adventures and travels is your superpower.

Gemini in the 10th House:

You are a Capricorn disguised as a Gemini. You are a high-achieving and ambitious thinker. Your thoughts may center on your career and life goals and how to take steps to achieve them. You most likely get flashes of ideas on how to get where you want to go in life. Your brilliant mind is focused, practical, and driven. You know how to use your mind and social skills to collaborate to achieve your desires. You would be a fierce competitor whose mind and drive can outlast others. You like to win. You would make an excellent business owner or athlete. Knowing when to relax your mind around achieving your goals will be the challenge. Lighting fast thinking to solve problems on a practical level is your superpower. 

Gemini in the 11th House:

You are an Aquarius disguised as a Gemini. You are a creative genius, especially around social themes. A quick thinker who wants to improve the world. Your ideas may be far ahead of your time and misunderstood by those who are stuck in the past. You stand out because of your confident belief that what you are doing is helping move humanity forward. Your style and appearance may be shocking and unique (you are the most likely to have wild hair colors of all the Geminis). Collaborating with others to shift out-dated systems will come easily to you. Your ideas, when put to work within a larger group context, can change the world. You would make an excellent activist, social worker, or writer. Knowing how to stay grounded in yourself and being present in your body rather than your mind will be the challenge. Your inspired ideas that bring us into the future are your superpowers. 

Gemini in the 12th House:

You are a Pisces disguised as a Gemini. There is a beautifully dreamy element to your mind. You may find yourself getting lost or forgetting things more than other Geminis. Unfinished projects may litter your home and life. Dabbling here and there as the inspiration strikes may be your preferred way to work. You may be especially hard to pin down or get to commit to making plans (or relationships). You have an unusual capacity to morph into any type of person you like at a moment’s notice. You would make a great creative storyteller, healer, or actor. Being able to take action or  finish things you started may be a challenge. Weaving between the worlds of thought and dreams is your superpower.
